Writing how-to: Essays
First of all, let us recall the significance of the term ‘writing how-to’. A writing how-to is such a guide or an instruction, which explains the process of writing some academic paper.
Now you are reading one of such how-tos. This how-to is from our writing how-to series. We decided to provide our readers with how-tos on all the types of writing. In particular, this writing how-to tells about writing essays.
Essays are such pieces of writing, which require the student to develop a particular topic, grounding it on his or her ideas and vision only. No additional material is required. Of course, sometimes a teacher may change the rules (it is his or her proper right) and ask you to ground your essay with a help of some additional sources. But normally the teachers do not do such things.
Essay writing consists from four simple stages. They are the following:
Essay planning and composing an outline of the future essay.
Jotting down the essay’s draft.
Revising the draft and editing it into a fair copy of the essay.
Revising the fair copy and passing it to the teacher.
These steps are really simple. Even a beginner can easily understand what he or she is required to do. That is why an essay is considered to be the simplest of the academic papers.
We hope this writing how-to will help you to sort out the essay writing process. And if you want to get a writing how-to devoted to anther type of papers, you should follow the new comings in our writing blog.
